Initial Consultation and Treatment – $100

This appointment is required for all new patients, unless you choose the ingrown toenail only assessment. Please remove any nail polish before your appointment so we can complete your full treatment. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early to complete any necessary forms before your appointment.

Here is what you can expect at your first visit.  At FIT Healthcare your foot care nurse will:

• complete a focused medical history
• assess your circulation, nerve function, and mobility
• address skin pathologies (e.g., callus, corns, cracked heels, redness, itchy or dry skin)
• evaluate nail abnormalities (e.g., ingrown, fungal, thickened, or discolored nails)
• provide a nursing diagnosis, and a personalized plan of care tailored to your needs
• educate and advise on how to best care for your feet at home

Your treatment begins with a gentle cleanse of the skin and nails. We ensure proper trimming and filing of the nails, addressing any discomfort or pain you may have. This may include the safe reduction of thickened nails and skin, as well as expert guidance on preventing future complications. Our approach also involves the careful removal of thickened calluses, the reduction of cracked heels, and the alleviation of painful corns, restoring your feet to a healthy, smooth state. We end your experience with a soothing application of warm towels to your feet. Next, we nourish your skin with premium medical-grade lotions and nourishing nail oils, leaving your feet soft, rejuvenated, and pampered.

 

Initial Assessment – Ingrown Toenail Only – $70

Please remove any nail polish before your appointment so we can complete your full treatment. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early to complete any necessary forms before your appointment.

Our skilled nurse will carefully assess your ingrown toenail(s), checking for any signs of infection or complications. Based on this assessment, we will recommend appropriate treatment options tailored to your needs. If a severe infection is present or the ingrown toenail requires more advanced care, we may refer you to a primary care provider or specialist for further treatment. After your initial consultation, if necessary, you can easily book a follow-up appointment to ensure your recovery.

Subsequent Foot Care Treatment Options

 

Standard Subsequent Medical Foot Care Treatment – $80

Exclusively for returning patients, this treatment provides comprehensive care for all common foot concerns in a single, thorough appointment.

This treatment addresses ingrown nails, fungal or thickened nails, calluses, corns, cracked heels, and dry skin. Included in this appointment: professional trimming and filing of all nails, including ingrown toenails; safe debridement of calluses, corns, and thickened nails; moisturizing and smoothing of cracked or dry skin; application of nourishing, premium-grade lotions and oils; warm towel treatment and relaxing foot massage.

 

 

Express Medical Foot Care Treatments – $65

Exclusively for returning patients, these appointments are designed to address specific foot concerns with precision, safety, and efficiency. Each treatment is carefully tailored to your needs, allowing for effective results in less time. 

All services include a basic nail trim if time permits. 

 

Basic Nail and Dry Skin Care

This treatment includes professional trimming and filing of nails with gentle removal of lightly dry skin.

Ingrown Toenail Relief 

This treatment includes precise trimming and filing to relieve pressure and discomfort from ingrown toenails. 

Fungal Toenail Treatment

This treatment includes gentle trimming and debridement to improve the appearance of fungal nails. 

Thickened Toenail Treatment

This treatment includes safe reduction of thickened nails to restore comfort and improve nail health. 

Callus and Corn Removal

This treatment includes careful reduction of calluses and corns to relieve pressure and restore ease of walking. 

Cracked Heel Treatment 

This treatment includes targeted treatment to smooth and hydrate cracked, painful heels. 

 

Emergency Treatment – $50

This appointment is for returning patients only. Please remove any nail polish before your appointment so we can complete your full treatment. Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrival may result in cancellation and the full appointment fee being charged.

Our nurse will provide emergency foot care exclusively for existing patients. This appointment is for addressing a specific, urgent issue such as a sudden ingrown toenail, cracked heel, or any new issue that requires immediate attention.

Additional Treatments 

 

Swift Therapy for warts – $180 – $205,  per treatment, plus HST

Swift Microwave Therapy is a Health Canada–licensed treatment option that uses controlled microwave energy applied to wart tissue. The treatment is designed to stimulate a localized immune response to HPV. Treatment response varies, and some patients require multiple sessions. Swift is non-destructive immunotherapy that gives you the power to defeat warts using your own body’s defenses.

 

Onyfix – Treatment for Ingrown Toenails  – $75 per toenail, plus HST

Onyfix is a non-invasive nail correction system designed to help manage ingrown or involuted toenails, excessive nail curvature and certain nail deformities.

Our Advanced Foot Care Nurses, who are specially trained and certified in the Onyfix system, apply the brace directly to the nail. As the nail grows, the system gently guides it toward a more natural shape, helping reduce pressure and discomfort without cutting or surgical intervention.

Onyfix is a Class I medical device and is designed to provide a comfortable, low-risk treatment option for suitable patients. It may be appropriate for adults, seniors, children, people living with diabetes or circulation concerns, and during pregnancy, following an appropriate clinical assessment.

Treatment suitability, expected outcomes and follow-up care will be discussed during your appointment.

 

TOE FX – Clear Toe Therapy – $95 per treatment,  plus HST

ToeFX ClearToe Therapy is a Health Canada–approved Class II medical device that uses red LED photodisinfection technology as part of the treatment of fungal toenail infections.

The therapy is designed to support the improvement of nails affected by fungal infection, including yellowing, thickening, crumbling and other visible changes. Treatment plans vary depending on the severity and extent of the infection, but many patients require a series of approximately 10–12 treatments, typically spaced two weeks apart.

Once the initial treatment series is complete, ongoing maintenance treatments may be recommended to help support long-term nail health and reduce the risk of recurrence.

ToeFX treatment is available to returning patients. New patients must first book an Initial Foot Care Assessment, where the condition of the nails can be evaluated and appropriate treatment options discussed.

 

PCR Fungal Nail Testing – $65 per test, plus HST 

If you are concerned that you may have a fungal nail infection, FIT Healthcare offers PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) fungal nail testing to help identify whether fungal organisms are present and, when detected, determine the specific pathogen involved.

Testing is simple and minimally invasive. A small nail clipping or sample of nail debris is collected during your appointment, securely packaged, and sent to a specialized laboratory in Hamilton, Ontario for analysis.

PCR technology detects fungal DNA and offers a high level of diagnostic accuracy, helping to reduce uncertainty and support more informed treatment decisions. Results are typically available within one week and include a detailed laboratory report outlining any pathogens identified.

This testing can be especially helpful when the cause of nail changes is unclear, since not all thickened, discoloured or damaged nails are caused by fungus.

 

JOBST Medical Compression Therapy – Prices vary, plus HST

FIT Healthcare offers JOBST medical compression therapy with a variety of compression levels, lengths and styles to suit individual needs.

Medical compression stockings are designed to provide graduated pressure to the legs, helping support circulation and manage symptoms associated with certain venous conditions, swelling and lower-leg discomfort.
