Initial Consultation and Treatment – $100

This appointment is required for all new patients, unless you choose the ingrown toenail only assessment. Please remove all nail polish before your appointment so our nurses can properly assess and complete your full treatment. We also kindly ask that you arrive 10 minutes early to allow time to complete any necessary forms before your appointment.

At your first visit to FIT Healthcare, your foot care nurse will:

• Review your relevant medical history
• Assess circulation, nerve function, and mobility
• Evaluate skin concerns such as calluses, corns, cracked heels, redness, dryness, or irritation
• Assess nail concerns, including ingrown, fungal, thickened, or discoloured nails
• Develop a personalized nursing care plan based on your individual needs
• Provide education and recommendations to help you care for your feet at home

Your treatment begins with a gentle cleansing of the skin and nails, followed by professional trimming and filing to promote comfort and healthy nail growth. Any areas of discomfort or concern are carefully addressed, which may include the safe reduction of thickened nails and skin, along with personalized guidance to help prevent future complications.

We also provide careful reduction of calluses, cracked heels, and painful corns to improve comfort and help restore the health and appearance of your feet.

To finish your treatment, your feet are wrapped in soothing warm towels before we apply premium medical-grade lotion and nourishing nail oils. Your feet are left feeling softer, refreshed, and well cared for.

 

Initial Assessment – Ingrown Toenail Only – $70

Please remove all nail polish before your appointment so our nurses can properly assess and complete your full treatment. We also kindly ask that you arrive 10 minutes early to allow time to complete any necessary forms before your appointment.

Our experienced nurse will carefully assess your ingrown toenail(s), including checking for signs of infection, inflammation, or other complications. Based on the assessment, we’ll recommend the most appropriate treatment options for your individual needs.

If there are signs of a more severe infection or the condition requires care beyond our scope, we may recommend follow-up with your primary care provider or another appropriate healthcare professional.

Follow-up appointments can also be booked as needed to monitor healing, address ongoing concerns, and support a comfortable recovery.

 

 

Subsequent Foot Care Treatment Options

 

Standard Subsequent Medical Foot Care Treatment – $80

Exclusively for returning patients, this comprehensive treatment is designed to address multiple common foot concerns in one thorough appointment.

Care may include treatment of ingrown, fungal, or thickened nails, calluses, corns, cracked heels, and dry skin. Your appointment includes professional trimming and filing of all nails, safe reduction of thickened nails, calluses, and corns, smoothing and moisturizing of dry or cracked skin, and the application of premium-grade lotions and nourishing nail oils. Your treatment is finished with warm towels and a relaxing foot massage.

 

 

Express Medical Foot Care Treatments – $65

Please remove all nail polish before your appointment so our nurses can properly assess and complete your full treatment. Please arrive 5 minutes early to ensure your appointment begins on time. Late arrivals may result in cancellation and the full appointment fee being charged.

Exclusively for returning patients, these appointments are designed to address specific foot concerns safely and efficiently. Each treatment is tailored to your individual needs and focused on the area requiring care.

A basic nail trim may also be included if time permits.

Emergency Treatment – $50

This appointment is for returning patients only. Please remove all nail polish before your appointment so our nurses can properly assess and complete your full treatment. Please arrive 5 minutes early to ensure your appointment begins on time. Late arrivals may result in cancellation and the full appointment fee being charged.

Emergency foot care is available exclusively for existing patients who develop a sudden concern requiring prompt attention. This appointment is designed to address one specific concern, such as a painful ingrown toenail, cracked heel, or another new foot care problem.

Specialized Foot Care Treatments

 

Swift Therapy for warts – $180 – $205,  per treatment, plus HST

Swift Microwave Therapy is a Health Canada–licensed treatment option that uses controlled microwave energy applied to wart tissue. The treatment is designed to stimulate a localized immune response to HPV. Treatment response varies, and some patients require multiple sessions. Swift is non-destructive immunotherapy that gives you the power to defeat warts using your own body’s defenses.

 

Onyfix – Treatment for Ingrown Toenails  – $75 per toenail, plus HST

Onyfix is a non-invasive nail correction system designed to help manage ingrown or involuted toenails, excessive nail curvature and certain nail deformities.

Our Advanced Foot Care Nurses, who are specially trained and certified in the Onyfix system, apply the brace directly to the nail. As the nail grows, the system gently guides it toward a more natural shape, helping reduce pressure and discomfort without cutting or surgical intervention.

Onyfix is a Class I medical device and is designed to provide a comfortable, low-risk treatment option for suitable patients. It may be appropriate for adults, seniors, children, people living with diabetes or circulation concerns, and during pregnancy, following an appropriate clinical assessment.

Treatment suitability, expected outcomes and follow-up care will be discussed during your appointment.

 

TOE FX – Clear Toe Therapy – $95 per treatment,  plus HST

ToeFX ClearToe Therapy is a Health Canada–approved Class II medical device that uses red LED photodisinfection technology as part of the treatment of fungal toenail infections.

The therapy is designed to support the improvement of nails affected by fungal infection, including yellowing, thickening, crumbling and other visible changes. Treatment plans vary depending on the severity and extent of the infection, but many patients require a series of approximately 10–12 treatments, typically spaced two weeks apart.

Once the initial treatment series is complete, ongoing maintenance treatments may be recommended to help support long-term nail health and reduce the risk of recurrence.

ToeFX treatment is available to returning patients. New patients must first book an Initial Foot Care Assessment, where the condition of the nails can be evaluated and appropriate treatment options discussed.

 

PCR Fungal Nail Testing – $65 per test, plus HST 

If you are concerned that you may have a fungal nail infection, FIT Healthcare offers PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) fungal nail testing to help identify whether fungal organisms are present and, when detected, determine the specific pathogen involved.

Testing is simple and minimally invasive. A small nail clipping or sample of nail debris is collected during your appointment, securely packaged, and sent to a specialized laboratory in Hamilton, Ontario for analysis.

PCR technology detects fungal DNA and offers a high level of diagnostic accuracy, helping to reduce uncertainty and support more informed treatment decisions. Results are typically available within one week and include a detailed laboratory report outlining any pathogens identified.

This testing can be especially helpful when the cause of nail changes is unclear, since not all thickened, discoloured or damaged nails are caused by fungus.

 

JOBST Medical Compression Therapy – Prices vary, plus HST

FIT Healthcare offers JOBST medical compression therapy with a variety of compression levels, lengths and styles to suit individual needs.

Medical compression stockings are designed to provide graduated pressure to the legs, helping support circulation and manage symptoms associated with certain venous conditions, swelling and lower-leg discomfort.
