Optimal foot health is critical to your safety and the prevention of long-term complications related to chronic conditions. Yet many people never think about foot care until they are in a lot of pain and discomfort. This is unfortunate because, in most cases, foot pain is preventable and treatable. A certified foot care nurse can make a world of difference to your mobility and quality of life.
Your journey to foot health begins with a certified foot care nurse

Treatment involves hot towel application, followed by a gentle cleanse of the skin and nails. Our Nurse uses medical-grade cleansers, lotions, and nail oils during treatment. We provide proper trimming and filing of the nails, as well as, addressing any complaints of pain. This may include physical reduction of nails and thickened skin, and education on how to prevent complications or reoccurrence. We safely remove thickened calluses, reduce cracked heels, and painful corns down to normal skin.
Healthy, properly trimmed nails and smooth supple skin on your feet reduce risks of infection and can significantly improve the quality of your life.
Our nurse will provide an assessment and consultation for patients with ingrown toenail(s). We will assess the ingrown toenail(s), check for signs of infection, and review treatment options. If required, the nurse may refer you to another health care professional, such as your primary care provider, for further treatment related to severe infection. Please note: Hands-on treatment is NOT included in this appointment. Following this assessment, patients can book a subsequent appointment if required.

FIT Healthcare is excited to introduce Swift Microwave Therapy, a revolutionary, FDA-
approved technology that is a highly effective way to treat common and plantar warts
and resolve these lesions for good. Swift is non-destructive immunotherapy that gives
you the power to defeat warts using your own body’s defenses.
What are the benefits of Swift?
How does Swift work?
Swift attacks the root of the problem. Warts are caused by one of the various strains
of HPV virus, which go undetected by the immune system. This microwave
technology uses heat to awaken the immune system to the presence of HPV, so your
body can now actively fight the virus. Swift is unlike other treatments that only
address the symptom (a wart) versus the root cause (the HPV virus). This is why
Swift ensures there is little to no chance of your wart reappearing after completing
treatment.
Treatment Outlook
What can I expect during treatment?
Microwave energy will be administered in 5 doses on the infected tissue, lasting for 2
seconds with each dose. While pain during treatment is variable, most patients will
feel some level of discomfort for 2-3 seconds as the tissue temperatures are
elevated. However, there is rarely any pain post-treatment. Swift will not break the
surface of your skin, so no bandages or creams are required. You are free to go back
to any daily activities immediately following your appointment!

At FIT, we offer a wide range of venous solutions, more specifically, compression therapy. Compression therapy for legs means wearing special medical compression stockings that come in different lengths and styles, to suit a variety of venous diseases and individual needs. So, why wear compression stockings? Because they help to normalize the blood flow, to close venous valves better again, and ease typical problems such as heavy legs. For this reason, compression stockings may also help to reduce heavy, swollen legs during pregnancy or long days of sitting or standing at work. Compression therapy is also a good solution for people who regularly take long flights or journeys: compression stockings for travel are specially designed for this purpose. JOBST compression garments can be a major relief and provide help for a number of different venous or lymphatic diseases. Regardless of the severity of your condition, JOBST has an expertly designed product to suit your need. What conditions do JOBST compression stocking treat? Spider veins, varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis, lymphedema, foot, ankle, and leg ulcers, chronic venous insufficiency, chronic edema or swelling, lymphatic or venous diseases, lipedema, and much more.
